About Peter Mulcahy:
Peter Mulcahy, established 1992, has a 37 year background in agribusiness. Peter's parents were soldier settlers on the "Lawrenny" estate, running Polworth sheep and Angus cattle. At the age of 18 Peter moved to New Zealand to further his agricultural knowledge by attending Lincoln College. He paid for his education by working in the semester breaks. When he was 22 he returned to Australia and was employed as an overseer and later as a working manager on sheep and beef properties around SE Australia.
The break up of his farming experience is:
| Dairying | 7 years |
| Sheep & Beef | 14 years - dry land |
| 5 years - irrigation | |
| Cropping | 2 years |
| Total | 28 years |
Peter has farmed in Tasmania, New Zealand, and many parts of Victoria and the south east of South Australia. Following an incapacitating back injury Peter retrained as an accountant and has spent 14 years operating as an accountant, business coach and consultant, and 2.5 years teaching.
So Peter has a very sound knowledge of farming, combined with a strong focus on financial performance and business planning. With the view of increasing his clients wealth through increased profitability and viability, and assisting them to achieve their business goals and pass their wealth on to future generations, if that is what they wish to do.
